Season one was exciting, but season two is managing to surpass it by leaps and bounds. This week, we look at the aftermath of “Kill Them All” and preview “I’ve Seen the Other Side of You”. Soak it up as this will be the last Dark Matter Digest before I head off to San Diego Comic Con. The plan is to rendezvous with the Raza crew and squeeze some answers out of them. I promise I’ll return with lots of pictures, video, interviews, and I’ll be live tweeting events the whole time.
Today was “Review Day” on Joe’s blog. After the shocking “Kill Them All”, reviewers weighed in with their reactions. I’d say they were overwhelmingly positive and you can find proof at the link.
After the reaction to an exciting episode, it was time to look behind the scenes. The day’s entry is full of stills from the episode. Along with those pictures comes a lot of interesting information you may not know. For example: The prison map drawing was a lot harder to nail down than it looked.
There was more behind-the-scenes information in today’s entry. Included were a lot of pictures of Jodelle Ferland holding Bubba. These pictures were taken last season and Joe decided he had to work in a way for FIVE to use Bubba in season two. And boy, did he!
As the middle of the week arrived, it was time to look ahead to episode 203 “I’ve Seen the Other Side of You”. As always, there are no spoilers, just teasers. There’s also lots of pictures, a promo, and a sneak peek video.

We bid adieu to Hyperion-8 and head back to the familiar confines of the Raza. “I’ve Seen the Other Side of You” takes us back to our crew’s home, but there’s no time to relax. Just watch the episode and you’ll see what I mean. Finally, there are several gorgeous pictures of the Mikkei shuttle concept designs that are a must-see.
With this being the day of broadcast for the next episode, we were shown which dog-themed picture went with this installment. There are also some preview videos and links to interviews with Anthony Lemke and Melissa O’Neil.
While Joe’s blog is usually about Dark Matter, he often touches on moments from his daily life. Today was a day to rant about the idiocy of inkjet printer designs. It’s a headache I think all of us have had at one time or another. But today wasn’t all about raging against the corporate machine. Joe took the time to highlight what some of the Stargate alums are up to these days. He finished by offering links to several reviews of episode 203.
Dark Matter Digest will be taking next weekend off while I trek to San Diego for a little convention thing going on. But I promise you I’ll catch you up with a double-dose the following week!
