Dark Matter at SDCC 2016: Melissa O’Neil & Anthony Lemke

I’m just going to come right out and say it – Dark Matter was the highlight of my time spent at San Diego Comic Con 2016.  There was the informative and often hilarious (mostly hilarious) panel, which you can watch in full here (SDCC 2016: Dark Matter, The Full Panel – Fun & Farts!).  Three If By Space also got the welcome opportunity to sit down for a roundtable interview with the attending cast & EP Jay Firestone.

Unlike many venues, these were very intimate roundtables.  Interviews done in pairs, a quiet room, and a smaller group of press afforded us the rare opportunity to speak in a more relaxed atmosphere.  Even the time allotted to each interview was extensive, resulting in a really fun conversation I hope you’ll enjoy.  We’ve split these interviews into three easy to watch bits, but you’ll probably find yourself wanting to binge-watch them all.  At least that’s my hope.

First up were a pair who sometimes lock horns on the show, but their demeanor here was much more amiable.  Melissa O’Neil (Two) and Anthony Lemke (Three) braved our relentless queries (and sometimes stupid comments by me) with aplomb.

In Interview Wars: Episode I we grill them about going dark in the episode I’ve Seen the Other Side of You, being “turned on” by neural links, and hints at the possible return of their old selves.

Moving on to Episode II: Attack of the Questions the duo react to the possibility of being on Dark Matter for a decade or more (Hint: They would be more than okay with that.).  And the rare instance of Anthony Lemke attempting to “adult” was spotted!  I gotta admit, he really pulls it off.

Episode III: Revenge of the Myth reveals the secret behind how Anthony Lemke can constantly eat on the show without gaining weight.  Melissa O’Neil talks about how much she loves the fans and especially the live tweets during the show.

Stay tuned for interviews with Jodelle Ferland (Five) and Alex Mallari, Jr. (Four) and a chat with Melanie Liburd (Nyx) and EP Jay Firestone!
