Dark Matter‘s second season is underway and is even more thrilling than the first, but something’s rotten in the Raza. We learn exactly what and why in this hilarious panel with most of the cast and EP Jay Firestone. Thankfully, you won’t have to pinch your nose to watch, but you may need tissues to dry the tears of laughter.
The panel starts off with a story from Melissa O’Neil (Two) about an unpleasant odor. The comical nature of the tale sets the tone for an hour of fun stories from behind the scenes of one of our favorite science fiction series. Melanie Liburd (Nyx) discusses her first day on set as the “new guy” and the somewhat chilly scene that began her journey through space to our screens.
Jay Firestone explains just how difficult it was to get Dark Matter to television. If you don’t know, it was originally planned as a series, then turned into a comic book when it was passed over by multiple outlets. Thankfully, Syfy came to the rescue and brought the show from page to screen and we’re all very happy they did.
You’ll want to get comfortable because once you start watching you’ll find it impossible to stop. There are so many great stories, everyone in the room wished it had gone on longer. I think you will, too.
