Orphan Black Season 5 First Images – What a Long, Strange Trip It’s Been

Orphan Black is one of those rare shows that grabbed audiences from the very first frame and never let go.  Now that the last leg of this wild ride is upon us, I’m wishing this wasn’t the final season.  But at the same time, I’m overjoyed that this incredible, often wacky, and always enjoyable story is going to have a full life and a proper ending.

As has been proven in the past, however, all the characters themselves may not have a full life (See Katja Obinger, et al.).  But we’ll just have to watch season 5 when it premieres on June 10 at 10/9C on BBC America to see what happens, and to whom.

Before we get to the shiny pictures, here’s a little detail about season 5, courtesy of BBC America.  If you’re really, really allergic to spoilers you may not want to read.  Though I promise you what’s said is very vague and shouldn’t spoil your enjoyment of the show at all.  You’ll have to decide for yourself, because I’m a big, old spoiler whore!  I LOVE spoilers in all forms.  I see a spoiler walk by on the street and I’m all, “Hi, sailor” in a really husky voice.  That’s how much I like spoilers.

Okay, on with the official network talkiness about the show and stuff.

BBC AMERICA has revealed first look images and new details about the final season of the network’s award-winning clone drama, Orphan Black. The final trip begins Saturday, June 10th at 10/9c on BBCA.

This season, the walls close in on Sarah when nearly all her sestras and their allies are brought to heel by Rachel. Even more harrowing is that her daughter Kira has joined them. With the threat of Neolution having carte blanche access to clone biology, Sarah is desperate to gain control, but realizes she must change tactics to pursue a long game. Protecting both her families, and the host of clones she’s yet to meet, Sarah and those still fighting the fight will uncover the missing pieces of the insidious conspiracy – and finally learn the story behind their origin. Despite the great risk, the fight of her life will either set her and her sestras free, or see them meet their end…

This Thursday, Emmy®-winner Tatiana Maslany along with the full cast and co-creators of the Peabody Award-winning series will appear together for the first time at 2017’s PaleyFest LA, which is part of BBCA’s farewell to the groundbreaking series.

Orphan Black is produced by Temple Street, a division of Boat Rocker Studios, in association with BBC AMERICA and Bell Media’s SPACE.

Seasons 1-4 of Orphan Black are now available on the BBC AMERICA App and Amazon Prime.

Hmm, Sarah’s having a tough time with evil-doers everywhere trying to steal her Lucky Charms.  And by Lucky Charms I mean the secret to clone biology, not the breakfast cereal.  But you probably already knew that.

Bah!  Forget about stupid words.  Here’s some nice pictures taken from the upcoming final season 5 to help get your clone panties in a wad.
