Review: Attack On Titan Junior High

By: Robert Prentice
Attack On Titan Funimation

Your favorite characters from Attack on Titan are back in…junior high school? Adapted from the hit spinoff manga series—Attack on Titan: Junior High (written by Saki Nakagawa), this parody reimagines Eren, Mikasa, Armin, and other characters from the original manga as students and teachers at Titan Junior High School.

This wasn’t the new season of Attack on Titan we were looking for. However, it was a fun parody that brought us back the characters we loved. And why not have some fun while doing it right? With the english voice actors from the main series returning, it was hard not to laugh watching Eren, Mikasa, Armin and Levi be in junior high.

There isn’t really a plot to speak of but there is plenty of antics. Eren is obsessed with cheese burgers. They are his favorite food. So, it only makes sense that the Titans would be out to steal all their food. So what is Eren to do? Join the Scout Regiment club as they plan to stop the titans. I didn’t think it was possible to make Armin more annoying then he is in the main series, but the managed it. I enjoyed the series as a laid back parody on an otherwise dark and twisted anime. I also really want to try sticky buns.

You can pick up your copy over on Amazon.com now. The limited edition comes with a 5″ Eren sticker, 48-page color art book and a chipboard box. You can also stream the series over on FunimationNOW.com
