The Pyramid at the End of the World

Doctor Who Promo: The Pyramid at the End of the World

So let’s say you’re just minding your own business when suddenly a big, old pyramid just shows up without notice. It’s awfully rude to not at least call ahead, especially when you’re a giant pile of stone. But there’s more than simple rock in that mystery structure. Of course there is, it’s Doctor Who!

The thing is filled with creepy creatures who have an agenda, and it’s not good news for humanity. A deal is offered, but it would enslave the entire surviving human race. Even though he can’t see, I’m certain the Doctor will see a way out of this. I’m sure it will require a lot of running and sonic-y fiddling with bits and pieces. It always does and it’s always fun … and scary.

Episode synopsis for The Pyramid at the End of the World:

An ‘ancient’ pyramid appears overnight. Every clock in the world begins counting down to the Earth’s destruction.

Three opposing armies lie ready to annihilate each other. An alien race stands ready to offer humanity a deal that could save them, but enslave them. It’s a terrifying race against time to save the world! Will the Doctor be forced to accept their help?

‘The Pyramid at the End of the World’ premieres Saturday, May 27 at 9/8c on BBC America.
