The final week of waiting was an excruciating test of everyone’s patience. We’ve been so full of excitement over the approaching debut of season three that I’m surprised someone hasn’t exploded yet. Just to be on the safe side, everyone should wear eye protection before reading the rest of this post.
The globe-spanning Dark Matter promotion machine was running at full power, bringing us tons of season 3 news. Today started with an extended trailer from Syfy Latin America that had some previously unseen footage inside. Joe gave us a breakdown with screenshots to kick the excitement level up another notch.
As go-time approaches, Joe admitted he’s feeling a bit apprehensive. That’s understandable, considering he’s put an incredible amount of time and energy into making Dark Matter the best show it can be. Wondering how viewers will react is definitely something I worry about, so I can only imagine how he must feel. This is his baby, and it’s a beautiful baby.
I can promise you, and Joe if he’s reading this, that he’s got absolutely nothing to worry about. I’ve been fortunate enough to see the first 2 episodes and they are spectacular. Dark Matter just continues its steady climb in quality without ever hitting a snag and I know this is going to be the best season yet.
I really love behind-the-scenes pictures; they make me feel almost like I’m on the set. It’s also just plain fun to get an idea of what it looks like to actually make the show. If you’re like me, today is your lucky day. Click on the link and become a fly on the wall of the set!
By now everyone was getting really antsy for Friday night to arrive. To help squash some of those ants, Joe shared a BTS video of a scene run-through and some images of THE FUTURE! Okay, so they’re pictures from upcoming episodes of a show that takes place in the future, so technically they’re pictures of the future future … I think.
With only a day left before the big season three premiere, it was time to send out some thank you’s. Joe has always been generous when it comes to giving credit to the people involved with Dark Matter. Today proved that to be true once again. But it’s worth a click of the link just to see pictures of Alex Mallari, Jr. smiling!
Today’s was the day! “Raza, you are go for launch.” No, Three, I didn’t say “lunch” so just calm down. While there was nothing to feed Three, there happened to be many links to articles about our favorite show. Check ‘em out while you wait for next week’s episode.
After that pulse-quickening two hour premiere, it was time to gauge reaction to season three’s debut. It was unanimous – everybody loved what they saw and naturally wanted more. For links to many reviews, head on over and read them all!
