Dark Matter 305 Preview: Give It Up, Princess

One of my favorite things about Dark Matter is that the stories regularly pair off various crew members. Each time, a new and fun dynamic seems to emerge that gives us a better understanding of our space-faring friends. In this sneak peek for next week’s “Give It Up, Princess”, Five and Solara spend some time in the training room. The badass newcomer is really a sweetheart and she’s trying to teach Five a few self-defense moves, but learns that the youngster can hold her own. (We already knew that, didn’t we?)

After the initial surprise, the pair sit while Solara tells Five a little about her past. The story is somewhat surprising and not at all what you’re probably expecting, much like most stories in Dark Matter. And like some stories in our show, it doesn’t have the happiest of endings for everyone. Happy endings or not, it gives us some insight into one of the newest members of the Raza crew, making her feel a little more like family.

Episode synopsis:

The crew of the Raza track a data file across the galaxy in an attempt to strike a blow against Ferrous, and save the life of a young woman.
