I am going to be grouping a few things together here, because of my ongoing internet issues. (Don’t you just love technology?) This season of Fear The Walking Dead has us all rejoicing so far. It has become very popular. Much more than the first 2 seasons. I have been a avid watcher from the beginning, although, I have never once compared it to The Walking Dead, like some people have.
The return of favorite, Daniel Salazar in episode 3, has really boosted the watchability of this series. He has always been a fan favorite from the beginning and I am so glad he is back! The fact that the writers have made him a force to be reckoned with, is a very good thing. His ongoing dislike for Strand will result in something that may not be very pleasant. With Strand often lying to save his own butt, he is now in deep doo doo. By taking the car and leaving Strand stranded, (see what I did there?) at the hotel, this may put something bad in motion.
Where have all the people gone from the hotel? It is overrun with walkers now and it will be very interesting to see how Victor gets out of this one. Meanwhile Daniel is on the road to find Ofelia. Where is she, as the story develops, I am sure she is safe. But where? At the end of season 2, we saw that Jeremiah Otto, found her. But what has he done with her? Is she assimilated into the group at the Brokejaw Ranch? Is she stationed somewhere at an outpost? That is my guess. I hope we will find out soon. I think we will.
The ongoing battle for love is strong in this season. With the advent of Luciana leaving, what will Nick do? It seems he is rethinking his way in the new world and I think that Jeremiah will have something to do with this change. Where will Luciana go? Will Nick muster up the courage to leave the Ranch and go find her, or is their love affair over? It will be interesting to watch it play out.
Jake and Alicia seem to be getting along just fine. She instigates their sexual encounter. He doesn’t seem like he minds as there is some feeling there. Is it like or love? That hasn’t played out yet, but I’m sure we will see more of this pairing. It may just be that they need the touch and intimacy of another human being right now.
There is a budding, yet strange relationship between Nick and Jeremiah Otto. Otto seems to have taken a liking to Nick, and I think there is a mutual understanding between them. Otto gave Nick a pistol, although Nick certainly doesn’t want one. We will see what happens here. I think it is an interesting relationship.
There is an even stranger relationship playing out with Madison and Troy. Troy is really messed up. The abuse of his parents and his strange upbringing, has surely caused some psychosis in that kids brain. The way Maddie handles him is like a mother, with a bot of a psychiatrist thrown in for good measure. She can ring his bell and pull his strings at the same time!. Is she trying to cure him, or help him? I don’t know about that, but I think this pairing will get much more weird as we go along.
I would have to agree with most that the most insane scene from episode 305, was Phil’s little scene. The raven gave new meaning to the phrase, ‘picking your brain’. I really could have gone without it, but it was a nice disgusting touch.
These are some of the most talked about scenes from 303, 304, and 305.
