Camping is one of those activities that brings to mind fresh air, the great outdoors, bonfires, s’mores, and all the trappings of a rustic good time. Sarah never struck me as someone who would purposefully go camping, though she wouldn’t be out of her element doing it, either. In this clip, it’s clear her “camping trip” is more like an escape into the woods as she fights for her life. Different setting, same story: Sarah is always fighting for something. Whether it be her life, or the lives of her family, she never stops working to free them from the powers that seek to control them.
In this scene, Sarah’s trying to build a fire – a basic first step when one finds oneself in the middle of nowhere and especially in the middle of the night. Fire provides light to see, warmth for comfort, and usually keeps animals at bay. But Sarah’s injured and the animals in these woods are a far cry from what you’d normally find in the local wilderness.
