You may have caught this elusive second trailer for Doctor Who “World Enough and Time” on BBC America. The problem is, if you missed it or wanted to watch it again you were out of luck. Thankfully, Syfy Latin America posted it on their YouTube channel and we’ve shared it right here. Now you can watch it all you please.
If you recall, there’s a gigantic (as in 400 miles long) spaceship caught in the gravity well of a black hole. Due to the time dilation caused by this extreme gravity, time is moving at different speeds on both ends of the ship. I’m sure this is a very essential plot point and it’ll be interesting to see just how it’s used.
We know the Mondasian Cybermen are making an appearance in this episode and we’re treated to more of them in this trailer. From her hospital garb and the creepy “patients” in a waiting room, it looks as though Bill might be unwillingly in the middle of a Mondasian transformation. Since both the Doctor and the supposedly redeemed Missy are both on the case, this should be wrapped up handily. Somehow I feel that won’t be the case.
Oh, and the very last scene in the trailer is all kinds of wrong, unusual, and, frankly, confusing. Though it has managed to put a certain 1980s Billy Idol earworm in my head. Check it out and see if you feel, and hear, the same way.
A huge spaceship trapped in the gravity well of a black hole, teeming with impossible lifeforms, harbors one of the Doctor’s most feared enemies… Mondasian Cybermen!
