This week’s entry is going to be brief because I’m busily packing extra briefs for Comic-Con. Yes, that’s how exciting the week will be. It’s also going to be a busy one with a big chunk of it hopefully focused on Dark Matter. Keep an eye out on this site and on Twitter for news from San Diego Comic-Con as it happens. We’ll be live-tweeting panels and probably random encounters while we’re there. I may even wear a tiara at one point, if I can find a tiara. Yes, there will be pictures.
If all goes according to plan, I’ll be asking questions of four of the cast along with Executive Producer Jay Firestone. Jay is the guy who got Dark Matter sold as a series and he’s one heck of a nice guy. If you have any questions you’d like asked of Melissa O’Neil (Two), Jodelle Ferland (Five), Anthony Lemke (Three), Alex Mallari, Jr. (Four), or Jay Firestone, leave them in the comments. If you’re on Twitter, you can tweet your Qs to me at @Thogar and I’ll probably start following you like the creepy old guy I am.
Let’s pull out of that spiral and get on to the week.
Taking time by the reins, we gazed into the future with lots of season 3 pictures. And not stuff you’ve seen, but things you’ve yet to see. Exciting, wonderful, and terrible things. And some confusing things.
Nothing brightens up a Monday more than a cute dog. Suji, the new Instagram sensation, was happy to pose for us in a variety of ways guaranteed to make us smile. And smile we did.
There were links to interviews and articles about the show, even one in French with Anthony Lemke. Remember, he speaks fluent French and he didn’t learn it in a time loop.
Today was all about the BTS pix! From reviewing lines of dialogue at the Marauder’s control panel to chilling in a stasis pod, today had a ton to see.
Did yesterday’s awesome BTS pictures leave you wanting more? Are you craving a fly’s eye view of a day on the set? Good, because Joe shared even more candid images today. One picture claims to be of Zoie Palmer drinking coffee, but we would be cocoa to believe that!
Tonight was the debut of episode 307 “Wish I Could Believe You”. To get you in the mood, Joe served up even more BTS images and tossed in a season 3 look-ahead trailer you have got to see!
Most of the time, Saturdays are pretty good days. The first day of the weekend and you’ve got the whole day free to do whatever you want. In Joe’s case, it was house hunting, but the game turned out to be a bit … gamey. After a terrible flight (are there any other kind these days?) he viewed a place that wasn’t exactly in move-in condition. You’ll just have to read it yourself to get the full effect, but the frustration is definitely contagious. Let’s hope tomorrow and days hence are better.
This is it for Dark Matter Digest until after San Diego Comic-Con. There’s a very good chance I’ll have to double-down in 2 weeks as it’s not looking likely that I’ll be able to post again next Sunday. I will try, and it might be Monday, but please keep checking back. I’ll be late, but I won’t forget about you!
