After the wonderfully fun All The Time In The World, we were treated to a week of BTS images and info. We also got the chance to question Solara Shockley’s alter-ego, Ayisha Issa, and looked ahead to the next episode. In case you were wondering, the “space ukulele” pictured above is a real instrument made by Juan Carlos Noguera, a very talented designer. Click on his name to see more of his gorgeous work. Unfortunately, you won’t see Three or Android playing with any of his other cool toys. That’s probably for the best; Three would just get crumbs all over them.
The weekend consisted of 2 more open houses for Joe and Akemi. That meant time away from home with the pups who enjoyed their outing while wearing some strange ice pack collars. It’s a sight worth seeing. Once you’re done enjoying the picture of those doggies, check out even more reactions to that crazy episode 304. Believe me, the responses have far more enthusiasm than Solara and Adrian are expressing in the picture below.
Today was your invitation to ask questions of formidable newcomer, Ayisha Issa, who plays butt-kicking bodyguard and monk, Solara Shockley. Joe also shared part 1 of his breakdown of All The Time In the World. It’s an interesting look into the evolution of this phenomenally funny time-loop episode.
Most of today’s entry was dedicated to the “carbonite maneuver” where assassin Ash learns his father was Han Solo. Or something like that. Check out the cool pictures of the mold making and see what actor Michael Reventar had to endure for that scene. Things like this are why your mother always tells you to pack extra underwear.
Today moved on to the future flashes Android experienced. Man, there were a lot of teases in that scene between FutureFive and AndroidOfNine. Don’t worry about being left hanging, Joe said about half of those hints will be “addressed” this season! Hey, half-hanging is better than whole-hanging. Unless you’re drapery.
Talk of the future continued today, only this was about the next episode, Give It Up, Princess. Several preview articles were shared along with promo and sneak peek videos. Even if you’ve seen the episode, it’s worth checking out the previews to see how your take on the episode compares to others. I like hearing what other fans think because it’s almost always enlightening and I’m really dim.
Friday was one hell of a productive day. Joe sold his house (yay!) and episode 305 aired along with the full Syfy Friday lineup. There are tons of episode pix like the one below. Click the link. You know you like to watch.
The Dark Matter writers’ room has adjourned, for now, and the time for a brief summary had arrived. Memories of much coffee, food (natch), and the Alaskan cruise were involved. Wait … Alaskan cruise?! Maybe we all need more coffee! On a cruise. To Alaska. I’ll pack my bags.
