Prepare yourself for a wild ride as we head into the second-to-last episode of Dark Matter‘s third, and easily best, season. As you already know from the sneak peek and the “next time” trailer, our gang is headed to Zairon. Why? Well, because they were invited by Ryo, but mostly (okay, completely) because he’s got Two and wants to trade her for the Blink Drive. As usual, there’s a bit of dissension among the crew, but go they will.

From what’s shown in the gallery, there’s going to be a lot of palaces and pajamas. That’s a setting and clothing style I can get behind. I could do without all the pointy things held by people with stabbish tendencies. Just leave me with the palace trappings, my comfy jammies that pass as real clothes, and some snacks. Decent wifi would be great, too. Thanks.

The creepiest thing about these pictures isn’t that our crew have walked willingly into what could be a trap. No, it’s the fact that Ryo is SMILING in a number of these pictures. He only does that when he has ill will on his mind. Now, our old pal Four wasn’t much of a smiler, but when he did it was for truly happy reasons. Grumpy old Ryo only smiles an evil smile, sometimes poorly disguised as a genuine one, but we can see through that easily.

Episode Synopsis:

Ryo invites his former crew to Zairon in a final attempt to secure the Blink Drive and his victory over Pyr.
