What’s Happening This Week in Outlander World? Well….

Gotta Have News

Excited about the September premiere? If you’re up for travel, there are a couple of special opportunities available! Starz will be holding showings and what sounds like a lot of fun activities out in LA! Advance tickets don’t seem to be necessary. Here’s the info:

And Entertainment Weekly will be holding an event for subscribers in New York, also on Sept. 5, but this will be much harder to attend – you’ll have to try to get one of 130 pairs of free tickets by being one of the first to register for them on Monday. I shouldn’t even be telling you this, since I want to go too! The magazine is saying this is the first in a number of events (not all Outlander) planned for their subscribers. Go here for details!

I can’t wait to see our new, grown-up Fergus on the screen! Yes, I’ll miss the cutie Romann Berrux, but from all accounts, Cesar Damboy is extremely swoonworthy. Here he is with Entertainment Tonight‘s Leann Aguilera:

And we seem to be very EW-heavy this week – they announced that their newest fabulous Outlander cover will come out NEXT WEEK! Subscribers generally get theirs on Friday or Saturday, but you may want to keep an eye out at your local Barnes & Noble for a special Collector’s Edition. Just remember that B&N, and other retailers, get their copies several days later than subscribers do, so don’t panic when they’re not in the stores next weekend! Patience!

The TV tie-in cover of Voyager was released this week. I’m collecting all of these, despite the fact that I have several other editions of each book. How many do you have? See this week’s poll!

Want to add one more shirt to your Outlander collection? Here’s a new one on the official Outlander store – dolman sleeves, gold foil lettering.

For a future Gab – do you make Outlander-themed holiday ornaments to sell? I’m planning an article featuring ornaments, and would love to include your work. If you would like to be included, drop me a note on Facebook (Erin Adams Conrad, or through my Outlander-Three If By Space page) or email me at econrad@threeifbyspace.net!

There’s More to Life…

Many Outlander fans have really enjoyed Starz’ productions of The White Queen and The White Princess. Ready for another period costume piece? Saoirse Ronan has been signed to star in a new movie, Mary, Queen of Scots, opposite Margot Robbie as Elizabeth 1. According to the official press release, “Mary, Queen of Scots explores the turbulent life of the charismatic Mary Stuart. Queen of France at 16 and widowed at 18, Mary defies pressure to remarry. Instead, she returns to her native Scotland to reclaim her rightful throne. But Scotland and England fall under the rule of the compelling Elizabeth 1.  Each young Queen beholds her ‘sister’ in fear and fascination. Rivals in power and in love, and female regents in a masculine world, the two must decide how to play the game of marriage versus independence. Determined to rule as much more than a figurehead, Mary asserts her claim to the English throne, threatening Elizabeth’s sovereignty. Betrayal, rebellion, and conspiracies within each court imperil both thrones – and change the course of history.”

John Baker interviews director Rob Lieberman about being honored for his work on Syfy’s space thriller The Expanse.

Something I’m not reading yet – Carrie’s review of last week’s Game of Thrones! How many of you are hooked on this show?

This Week’s Poll

The results of last week’s poll, on how many t-shirts you own: 45% of you (149 votes) own 1-5 shirts. A third of you (110 votes) own no Outlander shirts! That was a surprise. An almost even number have 6-10 or more than 10 – I fall in this category!

This week, tell me how much of an Outlander book collector you are.
