Outlander Gab: Sam at Barbour, Digital Trading Cards, Much More!

Gotta Have the News!

Just a few more days to sign up for this year’s Holiday Gift Exchange – go to our Outlander-Three If By Space Facebook page, and send a message to the page with: name; FB name if different; mailing address; age (range is fine – for gift appropriateness only); if you’re willing to mail outside of your own country; couple of Outlander groups you belong to; and any gift-receiving no-nos – food allergies, etc. Your recipient info will be given to you by Oct. 10, and gifts should be mailed by Nov. 15.

If you’re live tweeting this week’s episode, the hashtag to use is #Helwater! If you’re not going to be home, leave your TV on anyway while you’re DVRing (on Starz, of course) – nobody knows if there are eyeballs on the screen! But it will count toward total views! This week’s episode, no surprise, focuses on Jamie’s years as a prisoner on parole at the Helwater Estate in the Lake region of England.

Have you watched this week’s Inside Outlander? Matt Roberts, Toni Graphia and Ron Moore give some behind the scenes info (this is not Ron’s podcast). Want to see the episode’s script, which includes scenes that didn’t make the final cut? Click here, then click “explore” in the bottom left hand corner.

Cute video from Bear with some non-Outlander info! Go to LaLaLandrecords.com to purchase this.

Sam has had a busy couple of days, and it’s not over yet! Yesterday, he spent the day at Barbour and at Macy’s, and some lucky fans got hugs and photos after spending hours waiting. Tomorrow night, he and Caitriona will meet another group of fans at a special event. Just Jared published some photos from yesterday’s events, and you can see them here . Here’s the video from Barbour’s Q&A:

Do you collect the Outlander trading cards? Today, Cryptozoic announced a partnership with Quidd to create free digital cards and stickers that you can trade right from your mobile device. I’ve played with it a little bit – there are a lot of other franchise “cards” available, if you’re interested, and looks like it could be fun. Here’s info directly from Cryptozoic. They’re also doing a contest to win actual S1 and S2 cards – click here for the contest!

I’ll have a new Outlanderpreneurs article next week, spotlighting a favorite artist and two new ones! You won’t want to miss that.

There’s More to Life

I’m eagerly awaiting season 2 of Berlin Station, the spy series on tv network Epix. If you watched the first season, I’d love to hear what you thought about it.

Just started today – Michael Connelly’s The Late Show. This is a new series, not the Harry Bosch or Lincoln Lawyer series he’s known for. It’s still set in the world of Los Angeles crime and police, though.

I’ve gone to a couple of art fairs lately! This is the season! Lots of beautiful stuff available. If you’re looking for some gorgeous Outlander items, check out the Facebook group Outlander Stuff and Sales. Never know what you’ll find!

John Baker’s review of the first episode of Star Trek: Discovery! But if you watched the first one, and want to continue, you’ll have to get CBS’ All Access streaming service (in the US). Sorry!

Salvation wrapped up its first season last week – here’s J’Dean Meisner’s review.
