Oh my gosh, another busy week in the Outlander-verse! Lots of interviews and discussions. I’ve got a slide show with the premiere party photos you sent in, and look below for info on this year’s Holiday Gift Exchange! Hey, do me a favor, would you? Leave me a comment with what you would like to see in The Gab – and if you enjoy this weekly blurt of all things OL, tell a friend! And make them read it!

Gotta Have the News

Cast interview from SDCC, just released this week because spoilers!

How do your social media interactions about the show affect its chance of renewal? Matt Carter looks at this subject.

Interview with Starz president Carmi Zlotnik about corporate decisions

A cute interview from Elle magazine, and be sure to scroll all the way down and watch Sam read tweets about himself!

Premiere Party Contest

Thanks to everyone who sent in pictures from their Season 3 Premiere Parties! The winner of our contest, by the scientific method of asking my husband to give me a random number, was Deb Keller! Congratulations – some cool stuff is heading your way! Here are the pictures you sent in.

Get This

Oh man, I know of a bunch of great stuff coming, but I can’t talk about it yet! Hopefully by next week I’ll have some more info. Keep watching!

In the meantime – one last call for Outlander ornament makers! If you make an Outlander-themed ornament that you’d like to sell, I’d love to feature it! Email me at econrad@threeifbyspace.net with info!

The Twitter Tweets

If you tweet during the live broadcasts, Starz is trying to get Outlander trending every week, and will send out a hashtag for fans to use in their tweets. This week’s hashtag is #Dunbonnet – hmmmm, wonder what’s in this episode!

Some Q&As this past week – here’s Maril Davis talking about the episode, and the Outlander Writers did their first of a planned series of weekly Q&As (they’ve been moved to Tuesday to accommodate international viewers).

There’s More to Life

This week – I started Deborah Harkness’ A Discovery of Witches, on the recommendation of my good friend and fellow TIBS writer, Alyson Bailey. And because I am always polyliterary, I’m also reading an older book by Robert Crais, The Promise. Not sure how I missed it, but I found it in the bargain bin!

Our thoughts and prayers go out to everyone affected by Hurricane Irma, which includes TIBS’ founder and managing editor, Robert.

All Around TIBS

Here’s a preview of the second season of The Shannara Chronicles!

And oooh, scary, a review of clown horror movie IT!

Outlander Holiday Gift Exchange

For the fourth year, I’ll host a holiday gift exchange! This is open to anyone worldwide, but you can choose if you’d prefer to send only to your country. To join us, you’ll have to go to our Outlander-Three If By Space Facebook page (click HERE to get there – NOT the regular TIBS fb page) and message me with the info below (all info is required). Requests to join must be in by October 1, and you’ll receive your giftee info by October 10. Gifts should be in the mail by November 15, earlier if you’re sending to another country. Recommended gift value (store bought or homemade) is about $25. The Exchange is limited to 150 participants. All communication about the Exchange will be by Facebook messaging. I’ll send you a quick confirmation message as soon as I receive your info – if you don’t see it within 24 hours, leave a comment here or send me a personal FB message (Erin Adams Conrad) and we’ll find out where your info went. Once you’re on the Outlander-TIBS page, message/PM the page – don’t leave a post – with this information:

  • Your name
  • Facebook name
  • Age (for gift-giving guidelines only)
  • Email address
  • Mailing address
  • Will you send internationally?
  • Favorite Outlander book and character
  • What Outlander groups do you belong to?
  • Any gift-receiving no-no’s (food allergies, things you hate, etc)
  • Any questions, feel free to ask!
