NBC’s previously cancelled (then renewed) series has a premiere date for season 2. The fan-popular time travel series will return March 11th in the 10pm EST slot. According to Deadline, “Timeless will continue in its Sunday 10 PM slot following the previously announced second-season premiere of Steve Harvey-hosted Little Big Shots and the debut of the Neil Patrick Harris-led gameshow Genius Junior, on March 18.”

Timeless made a last minute appearance at 2017 San Diego Comic Con to thank the fans and prepare them for the upcoming new season. The show has been met with some criticism over its use, or rather mis-use, of history. Timeless managed a 2.1 average rating in adults 18-49, with even higher numbers in the Live+7 ratings.

From Eric Kripke (“Revolution,” “Supernatural”), Shawn Ryan (“The Shield”) and the producers of “The Blacklist” comes this thrilling action-adventure series in which a mysterious criminal steals a secret state-of-the-art time machine, intent on destroying America as we know it by changing the past.

Our only hope is an unexpected team: Rufus (Malcolm Barrett), a scientist; Wyatt (Matt Lanter), a soldier; and Lucy (Abigail Spencer), a history professor, all of who must use the machine’s prototype to travel back in time to critical events. While they must make every effort not to affect the past themselves, they must also stay one step ahead of Flynn (Goran Višnjić), a dangerous fugitive. But can this handpicked team uncover the mystery behind it all and end his destruction before it’s too late?
