After what feels like a very very very long wait, the highly anticipated trailer for Westworld season 2 is officially here! It was the only commercial I was excited for during the Super Bowl today and of course HBO’s Westworld didn’t disappoint. This is our first real look at what Season 2 will have in store for the hosts, the corporation, and those visiting the parks.
This is the first time since 1998 that HBO has purchased an ad slot during the Super Bowl, so of course they’re going to make it stand out, and much like the other marketing done for Westworld, it will leave huge impressions on you. Another nice touch, even though we don’t know how much of this trailer really dives into what is in store for Season 2, it has been confirmed that this trailer includes exclusive footage that won’t included in the show.
A recent update to the Delos Incorporated website gives us some other insight into what promotional campaigns might be starting soon for the Season 2 Premiere, and if it’s anything like the events hosted at San Diego Comic Con or New York Comic Con then fans across the country are in for a treat. I was lucky enough to attend the off-site event at San Diego Comic Con and it not only worth the wait but the best experience I have ever attended. Their marketing is geared towards really getting fans into that head space and showing you what it’s like to live without limits.
Our current market testing tells us that now, more than ever, people are looking to escape their reality. With this strategy in mind, we are expanding our outreach campaign, starting with boots on the ground in Minneapolis.
