Hey there Syfy and American Gods fans! How are you lot doing? I’m peachy keen, jelly bean! Don’t mind me, I’m just a little tired, and when I’m tired, I tend to act pretty goofy. I mean, third shift work will do that to you! Enough about me, I am here to spread some TV news, news of the American Gods persuasion. It’s not much, but it is something that will whet your appetite.
American Gods is the type of show that will keep you on your toes, and it always requires multiple viewings. I have to watch each episode several times, because I just know I missed something. I have yet to finish the book, because I am (at times) one that cannot separate the two entities, but season one blew me away! I am ready for season two, it’s a shame that it won’t return until 2019!
Yes, the God Squad is back baby, and I cannot wait to see just how much darker and dangerous this new season will be, but if the first season is any indication, then we are in for the ride of our lives. I could get cracking on reading the book, as I have plenty of time to get more than one read in! However, I quite enjoyed watching the first season, and not knowing what was coming my way.It really makes for a nice change, and keeps the semi book purist in me at bay.
I would like to know your thoughts on that, to read or not to read? Does the book purist in you scream out, or does any book to TV adaptation just enhance your love of the story? I know that it was just a bit of a behind the scenes video of the new season that absolutely gave nothing away, but I am looking forward to season two! Even if it will feel like forever!!
