Last year, when Fox brought Cosmos back with Cosmos: A Spacetime Odyssey, fans of the original heartily approved. This new version chose Neil deGrasse Tyson as host, doing Carl Sagan’s legacy full justice. It was met with both critical and fan acclaim, so a second season is very exciting news.
In this latest installment, titled Cosmos: Possible Worlds, Neil deGrasse Tyson returns as captain of the Ship of the Imagination. He will once again take us into uncharted territory for yet another fascinating look at not only the universe, but our place in it. The full press release and a teaser trailer can be found HERE.
From the press release, you can see Cosmos: Possible Worlds is getting a true global release again.
Following a wildly successful run in 2014 as the most-watched series ever on National Geographic Channels internationally, and seen by more than 135 million people worldwide on National Geographic and FOX, the new season will once again premiere in the U.S. on both FOX and National Geographic and globally on National Geographic in 171 countries and 43 languages.
For those of you who need more than a tease, which I assume is everyone, here’s the full trailer. But make it last because the premiere isn’t until Spring 2019.
