San Diego Comic Con Exclusives Portal Now Open!

San Diego Comic Con is a short 20 days away! Which means that ALL the SDCC news is starting to come at us like a beautiful avalanche of nerdy goodness. Something that we’ve all been waiting for is information on the online exclusives lottery (first implemented at WonderCon earlier in the year) and if SDCC would be using it. For the first time, San Diego Comic Con is using an “Exclusives Portal” through their Member ID system for an advanced lottery of certain items. If you’ve been eyeing a special exclusive from Funko, Hasbro, Lego, or UCC Distribution –  this is the post you’re looking for!

From now until July 12th at 12pm PT – yes you read that right, it’s open NOW – attendees will be able to log into their Member ID accounts and access the “Exclusive Portal.” Once inside the portal you’ll be able to select “Time Slots” for Hasbro, Funko, Lego, and UCC Distribution. When you are finished adding time slots into your cart, you can submit them to CCI! To keep track of what time slots you selected, simply tab over to the “Interest List” at the top of your screen and that will show you everything you’ve selected!

Keep in mind that this is a lottery based system – just because you select a certain time slot does not guarantee you access to the booth at that time. Only attendees 13 and older are able to participate and those with exhibitor badges are excluded.  If chosen you will not be able to sell or transfer your winning time slot to another person – it is against the terms of service put forward by CCI and you will have to present a photo ID at the booth to prove your identity. Though only these 4 booths are currently participating, it is rumored that lotteries for certain autographs will be available in the “exclusive portal” next.

How do you feel about the new Exclusive Portal for certain booths and potentially bigger autograph sessions? Love it? Hate it? Where will you spend your newfound time instead of sitting in the everything else line? I’d love to hear your thoughts! Leave me a comment below or find me on social media!
