Syfy’s New Nightflyers Releases Trailer at SDCC

You may just think of George RR Martin as being the father of Game of Thrones – but he’s done much more than that. This fall, SYFY will bring his 1980 novella Nightflyers to TV! And yesterday at San Diego ComicCon, attendees were treated to the first trailer and a panel discussion about the upcoming spaceship/horror/psychological thriller series.

Stars Eoin Macken, Gretchen Mol, David Ajala, Jodie Turner-Smith and Angus Sampson took the stage alongside executive producer and showrunner Jeff Buhler and executive producers Gene Klein and David Bartis to answer questions about the upcoming voyage.

This looks great! “In 2093, in hopes of making contact with a mysterious alien life at the edge of our solar system, a group of maverick scientists and a powerful telepath embark on an expedition aboard The Nightflyer. As they race towards first contact, terrifying and violent events begin to occur, causing the once tight-knit crew to mistrust each other. It’s not long before their main mission becomes survival.”

Panel attendees also got a behind the scenes video, with GRRM himself discussing the premise of the show. No air date has been announced yet.

We’ll bring you interviews from the cast and producers – be sure to follow threeifbyspace.net for all the SDCC news!
