Channel Zero: The Dream Door Hits Syfy Next Week

The latest installment of Syfy’s hit horror anthology, Channel Zero: The Dream Door premieres next Friday October 26th! Just in time for Halloween and the main event of “Syfy’s 31 Days of Halloween.” Channel Zero: Dream Door is all you need this Halloween, beginning on Friday October 26th and wrapping up on Wednesday October 31st. For those of you who just can’t wait, or perhaps are having an early fright night party, following the premiere on the 26th, all 6 episodes will be available on video on demand.

CHANNEL ZERO returns with THE DREAM DOOR, the anthology series’ latest installment based on the “creepypasta” short story “Hidden Door” by Charlotte Bywater. Premiering over six consecutive nights from Friday, October 26 through Halloween Night, Wednesday, October 31 at 11/10c, CHANNEL ZERO: THE DREAM DOOR follows newlyweds Jillian and Tom, who have each brought secrets into their marriage. When they discover a strange door in their basement, those secrets start to threaten their relationship and their lives. Created by Nick Antosca, CHANNEL ZERO: THE DREAM DOOR is directed by Evan Katz (“Small Crimes,” “Cheap Thrills”) and stars Brandon Scott (“Grey’s Anatomy”), Maria Sten (“Straight Outta Compton”), Steven Robertson (“Elementary”), Troy James (“The Strain”), Steven Weber (“Wings”) and Barbara Crampton (“You’re Next”). Following the premiere on October 26, all 6 episodes will be available on VOD.

The Dream Door Opens

I love that Syfy is doing something a bit different this season by having the entire season air over six consecutive nights. With Halloween right around the corner, this will be a truly unique way to air the new season. Without having a wait a full week for each new episode, Channel Zero: Dream Door really becomes a perfect Halloween Event and is a unique way to finish “Syfy’s 31 Nights of Halloween” on a creepy note. Sure, all the episodes will be available for those who only want to binge – but treating this as a 6 night Halloween special sets Dream Door apart from the other horror shows out there this Halloween.
