The next episode of Doctor Who does what the show originally set out to do – show a bit of actual history. That’s right, when Doctor Who began in 1963 it was envisioned as a family show meant to explore historical periods and scientific concepts.
While it’s still a family show, the adherence to a scientific and historical education fell a bit by the wayside. No matter, the show still gives us peeks into Earth history from time to time. The next episode is one of those, with Rosa Parks as the main focus, hence the title “Rosa”.
Montgomery, Alabama. 1955. The Doctor and her friends find themselves in the Deep South of America. As they encounter a seamstress by the name of Rosa Parks, they begin to wonder whether someone is attempting to change history.
