When the gods were driven from their home in Tetra-Heaven, they made their way to the human world, causing unimaginable chaos. People with special abilities began to awaken, and terrifying beasts known as Foreigners arrived through Paradox Zones to wreak havoc in the world. Logicalists-a special police force with the power to enter Trances with goddesses-were employed to protect citizens from these otherworldly beings and maintain order. But the war against these incursions is only just beginning.
Yoshichika Tsurugi once held the power of the Logicalists and fought to protect his home, until an incident in Hong Kong caused him to lose his Logic Card and abilities. But when the goddess Athena appears with his card in hand and wants to fight beside him, he must choose between staying a civilian or embracing his powers once more.
Foreigners, Paradox Zones, and the fate of the world-Yoshichika and his team will face powers they’ve never dreamed of to keep their home safe!

Review
Based on the Bushiroad card game of the same name Luck and Logic uses a lot more of the former, and not enough of the latter at times. The series reminds me of Date A Live. The male lead character finds himself part of an organization primarily made up of females. He forms a contract (“trance”) with goddesses to fight demon gods from Tetraheaven. Put in simpler terms gods and goddesses from heaven bring a war that has been going on in Heaven to Earth. The Logicalists of the ALCA have the powers and job of joining up with the goddesses to stop the demon gods (“foreigners”) from attacking humans.
Yoshichika Tsurugi is the lead character. A boy who at 17 has a reputation as one of the most powerful Logicalists alive, who also happen to lose his logic card after overdoing it in a battle. Throughout the series, we watch each of the other pairs grow and learn to use their powers. Sadly Yoshichika doesn’t really show off why he is so special until the final 2 episodes. We actually end up caring more about the foreigners then we do the Logicalists of the ALCA. At least for me.
An interesting note for the english version of the series is the voice actor for the lead character Yoshichika Tsurugi is Nathan Sharp. You may know him from his Youtube video covers of anime songs. It is nice to see Funimation branching out its voice actor base. Overall I would give the series a 3.5/5.
