This weekend held one of the biggest Star Wars conventions in the entire country. Star Wars Celebration is an annual gathering of Star Wars fans held in Chicago. It is a huge event with impressive cosplay, fun panels, and great news. This year we got a ton of juicy news including a teaser for the Mandalorian show, a trailer for Clone Wars Season 7 and the biggest thing ever… an Episode 9 teaser! Watch below:
There is a lot going on in this preview. First off, the title; “The Rise of Skywalker”. What does that mean? In “The Last Jedi” Kylo told Rey she was no one and her parents were also nobodies. I really hope that they stick with that. I love Rey and I want her to be a new line of Jedi. Sure, she has to take up the mantle that Luke left, but she should just be Rey. We got some footage of Lando (yay!) and a shot of Leia which instantly brought tears to my eyes. There appears to be a new droid in there too, I wonder what its story is! We get quick glimpses of Poe and Flynn. Kylo and his mask also pop up quickly. Plus, that laugh at the end. So creepy! It seems as though the past will come back to haunt us.
All in all, this is going to be an interesting and emotional ride. This generation’s trilogy is coming to an end and we don’t really know when we’ll get another Star Wars movie after this. What are your thoughts on the preview? Let us know in the comments below!
