Amazon is going ALL out for this year’s San Diego Comic Con – bringing more panels than ever before, PLUS a huge offsite activation full of extra fun and activities. Located at 1st and MLK – Amazon’s offsite activation: The Amazon Prime Video Experience, will be a massive 60,000 square feet setup! Featuring immersive experiences and theatrical performances from their upcoming shows: The Boys, Carnival Row, and The Expanse! The Amazon Prime Video Experience will also host exclusive screening parties for both The Boys and Carnival Row.
Inside the activation, Amazon fans will receive/earn collectible silver and gold coins that they can use to unlock further activation experiences. Help cover up the crime scene of a superhero kidnapping where Hughie works in The Boys. Discover the world of Carnival Row: where exotic creatures and humans coexist, or take a break in the “Forbidden Lounge” – a neo-victorian decorated hideaway venue where you can enjoy special performances. Are you a bit of a thrill seeker? Then join a United Nations peacekeeping mission aboard the Rocinante – and discover a newly colonized planet featured in The Expanse. After you’ve enjoyed the show experiences, take a break from the heat, and relax in a shaded lounge. You’ll find refreshing beverages and food options; Carl’s Jr will even be providing burgers to fans as part of The Boys campaign! In addition you’ll find personalize GIF and 360 photo opportunities, plus a Cosplay Photography Corner!

The Amazon Prime Video Experience will be a hopping location during the day, but the fun will continue well into the night with special, exclusive screening parties! Thursday night IGN will host an invite-only The Expanse: Belter Party – but Friday night and Saturday night will be open to the public! The events are listed as “sold out” – but never fear if you didn’t grab tickets yet as there will be a standby line as well. Note that these parties are 21+ and they will be checking ID at the door, so keep the kids at home for these and enjoy a night out.
