Secrets & Consequences Abound in Walker Episode 8 Review – Fine Is A Four Letter Word

We are well into the middle of the season coming in at Episode 8 titled,” Fine Is A Four Letter Word,” and inching closer towards finding out some hidden truths. Secrets and suspicions have been abundantly clear throughout this season. By now some things have came into play that some of our characters haven’t disclosed to others just yet. But, those secrets have consequences and the outcome from those secrets are something that must be dealt with in one way or another. Our characters find that out this week in several most revealing ways.

One such secret revolves around Micki Ramirez. Micki has carried her secret for a week without telling Trey. Now in my opinion, that is her secret to tell when she pleases. However, for others, including Trey, it’s a secret she should have divulged sooner rather than later. Yes, I get they are in a relationship and there should be no secrets between them, but at times secrets can be something that you have to come to terms with first before you can share it with anyone else. I feel that is what Micki was trying to do before she was going to tell Trey.

As it turns out, Micki is kind of pushed into telling Trey about her secret because of Walker nudging it out of her. Her secret, is that her mom is really her aunt. Yes, that is kind of messed up huh? It definitely sucks how Trey had to find out and to top it off know that Walker already knew about it before he did. The consequence from this is that it seems to have put a little pressure on these two’s relationship resulting in a heart to heart conversation that has now affectionately earned them the ship name of “Tricki.”

Abeline and Bonham Walker have had their share of secrets as well. So far from what we have gathered from out little taste of tidbits over the episodes, it seems that an affair took place that has put these two on unsettling terms with each other. Both of them have been holding onto this secret for some time. But I believe that Bonham wants to try to work things out. So not too much of a secret so to speak, but the consequence might have put a damper on the working things out part.

Bonham made a point of going to purchase things at the store where the believed other man worked. That didn’t seem to set well with Abeline, especially when Bonham tried to win her over with a flower and a dance later that night. In fact, her words suggested that it just wasn’t going to work with them. Now of course the fans and myself would like to see these two work things out and make another go of it, but can it happen this season? We shall see.

Then we get to another secret that has long been held by Trevor, Stella’s boyfriend, for several episodes now. Fans have been pondering if or when he would tell her. What a night to let this secret loose. Our young Stella Walker was set to have a special night out at her first school dance. She would be accompanied by Trevor as her date of course. So what could possibly go wrong? How about nature throwing a tornado their way and messing up the big dance.

Hardly anyone showed up but those that did didn’t seem to mind the weather. They had fun at the dance anyway. Trevor is an attentive boyfriend and made sure his girl enjoyed herself despite the situation with the weather. From a story she had told him earlier, he surprised her with a fort that he built in the gym. Stella, Trevor, and their friends had some fun playing in it. The two even almost shared a sweet kiss but was interrupted before they could.

Stella and Trevor have become a fan favorite couple in their short relationship. But secrets surround them as well. Trevor is the one keeping secrets in this couple. In fact it’s a pretty big secret that could destroy them. The identity of his father hasn’t been revealed to Stella yet. She knows his dad is in prison but not who he is. So far, Trevor has been a near perfect boyfriend for Stella and his feelings for her appear to be very clear. Sadly, it only takes one slip up to ruin a good thing and in this case it was her trust.

Being the gentleman that he is, Trevor gave Stella his jacket because she was cold. Turns out that was a huge mistake. He left his ID badge in the pocket from when he had visited his dad earlier in the episode. It had his dad’s name on it. A name that Stella clearly recognized. The consequence of this secret, Stella left him standing there as she walked away. Now I as well as many fans of these two hope that they can work this out and stay together. Hopefully in the next episode we will see if they can.

Finally, we come to the biggest secret of the night. The secret that Walker’s brother Liam has been keeping. Liam has been secretly investigating Emily’s murder along with Captain James since the series started. It was clear in this episode that his secret was wearing away at him. After the events that happened in Mexico in the last episode, he knows that not only are he and Captain James in danger, but so are everyone else that are close to them.

That secret is one that Liam has also kept from his boyfriend, Bret. He know that he has to put some distance between him and Bret to keep him safe. Therefore, telling him a lie that he had cheated on him in Mexico. The consequence was Bret ending things and leaving. That is just what Liam had hoped would happen but has he lost Bret forever due to this? We hope not.

The other secret is he has been keeping his investigation from Walker. Now with everyone in danger, he must finally tell his brother. The consequence from this wasn’t what he had expected to see. Surprisingly Walker was calmer than anyone would have though at hearing the news that Emily’s killer was still out there. He didn’t seem to have any ill will towards his brother at all. We suppose this is good, but after the shock wears off, could we see a very distraught and upset Walker next week?
