Outlander Gift Guide – Something for Everyone!

Do you have friends/sisters/wife/YOURSELF who loves Outlander, and who needs a gift for the holidays? Tired of giving the same old, same old? Of course, we have some new books coming out later this month – Diana’s ninth book in the series, Go Tell The Bees That I Have Gone, and a new book from the Men In Kilts guys, Clanlands Almanac. There are also the Outlandish Companions and the “Making Of” books, plus knitting, cookbooks, a coloring book and more. But if you’re looking for something different, I’ve put together a curated (don’t you love that word) collection of gifts, handmade and otherwise, that would be enjoyed by the Outlander fan!

Birthstone Thistle Earrings

These nickel-free, sterling silver with rhodium plating earrings are really pretty! And you can get them with a colored CZ for every birthstone. Or, just pick a color your recipient loves to wear! $69.99, on Amazon.

Costume Revival by Cortesi

Susan Cortesi does wonderful fabric items, from teddy bears to bags to costumes! She combines both up-cycled and newly created fabrics into Outlander inspired items. You’ll find purses, wallets, bears, cats, keychains, holiday ornaments as well as costumes, and shawls. Prices range from $5 to $50 on most items. Contact Susan through her Facebook page.

Zippered Makeup Bag

Use this cute zippered bag for more than makeup (I don’t wear any, so good thing it’s versatile) – all your chargers, jewelry, whatever you can fit in it! 10″ x 7.2″. $14.89, available on Amazon.

Jewelry

These lovely pieces will definitely give you that Outlander vibe! Resin necklaces and bracelets make up most of the items from MadebyFarrah. On Etsy, $20 – $40.

Outlander-Theme Soap

Skinsations Soaps hand makes soaps from natural ingredients, as well as making decorative glycerin soaps. There are a variety of Outlander themed products (be sure to look under every tab for gift sets and specialty soaps). The items pictured are:

* the Bee Skep glycerin soap scented in Claire’s Herb Garden
* the Claire’s Herb Garden natural soap, made with comfrey, honey, and bee pollen
* the Jamie Fraser (Highland Warrior) soap scented in a blend of musk, pine, leather & woodsmoke, made with a little bit of goatmilk, some oatmeal/”parritch” and a shot of whisky
Items range from $2.25 to about $25, from Skinsations.

Crossbody Tartan Bag

If anyone’s looking to get ME a gift…. this is a really cute bag! 10″ x 9″. One zippered pocket outside. No info provided about inside pockets, however. $69.99, from the official Outlander Store.

Angels’ Share Whisky Glass

Glasses, water droppers, and other whisky-oriented glass items! From their website, “If you have a passion for beautiful Glass and Whisky then our award winning team will bring you the very best in Scottish & Irish Glass design, whilst encapsulating a legend. The legend of The Angels’ Share. Scottish glassmaking heritage is at the core of our existence and we mix our craft with a love of Scotch.” Items range from $15 to $90, and would make a wonderful gift for the Sassenach whisky lover. Available at Angels’ Share Glass.

Needle-Felted Highland Coos

Shelley Laub makes these adorable, one of a kind pieces! It takes approximately 15-30 hours to make one coo, and are made lovingly with a variety of sheep’s wool; she uses mostly Corriedale. They are made to order, for $45 plus shipping. Holiday orders will be first come, first served, due to the time involved to make one for you! Contact her by email, laub4@verizon.net.

Fraser’s Ridge Cutting Board

While I doubt Claire was quite so fastidious as to use a cutting board, you might like it… or hang it on a wall!  Bamboo, 13.5″ x 11.5″, from the Outlander Store.

Tartan Clocks

These beautiful 8″ clocks are handmade in Scotland, and can come in a variety of tartans, with numbers or symbols in their place. Shown with the Fraser Hunting Tartan, but find other items on Fyne Frames’ Facebook page! £30 (approx. $40), free shipping in the UK or £6 to ship outside of the UK. Available on Etsy or contact through their Facebook page.

Knitwear

Sandie Russo makes beautiful screen-accurate Outlander-related knitwear – tams, cowls, shawls, gauntlets and more! She has finished pieces, as well as patterns for sale.  Check out Sandie’s Etsy store, Knitzy Blonde!

Light The Fuse Fused Glass and Masks

This is a personal plug – I and my friend Alyson Bailey, definitely huge Outlander fans, make fused glass jewelry, accessories and gifts, and Outlander-fabric masks, as well as lots of other unrelated home decor and jewelry items. Alyson has a variety of Outlander-related fabric to choose from, and her masks are terrific! You’ll find several different pieces for the fangirl in you – and more are coming for the holidays! Keep checking back as we put up ornaments and other gifts. Find our pieces at Light The Fuse Glass.
