The fourth installment of the John Wick franchise made a surprise appearance at San Diego Comic-Con this weekend with lead star Keanu Reeves also making an appearance. This meant we also got a new teaser for the upcoming film that releases next year. Check out the teaser that was dropped at Comic-Con below.
The film which started shooting during the pandemic was delayed until this year partly because of that but also to allow Reeves to complete the shooting of the 4th Matrix film. Lionsgate has confirmed previously that a fifth film was being made. 4 and 5 were intended to be filmed back to back but the studio opted to delay starting of the fifth one and moved forward with just the 4th film for now. Though there is little doubt about the film’s success. Previously installments have been met with positive audience feedback and that doesn’t appear to be ending any time soon.
The new film is set to release March 24th, 2023.
