First of all I’m a mom, I have boy/girl twins, one is pre-med and the other (Emma) has graduated and helps me write reviews. My youngest son is studying Culinary Arts. I have very eclectic tastes in entertainment, from sci-fi to comedy and everything in between. I like to stay on top of what’s happening so that I can communicate with and understand my kids. I love to read and I can easily get lost in what I’m reading. I’ve always been creative and I am currently making jewelry and fused glass creations.

Helix – S2 Ep13 – O Brave New World – Review

“If the plague is immortality, then there’s only one cure.”  Dr. Julia Walker This is the final episode of the second season of Helix.  I hope it gets renewed so we can find out what happens to everyone past this episode.  There are still some questions in my mind; it’s definitely been left open […]

Helix – S2 Ep 12 – The Ascendant – Review

The most recent episode of Helix that aired on Friday April 3, 2015 left me feeling really awful!  It was balancing on the line of too much, too upsetting, too disgusting and close to tipping over.   I can’t imagine how things will get tied together during this week’s episode to finish the season.  There […]

Helix – S 2 ep 11 – Plan B – Review

Plan B, what is plan B?  Plan A is containment.  Plan B is eradication.  Looking at a show that has had mass suicides, crazed mycotics attacking and dying, and so many other “creative” ways to kill, what else can happen? We finished watching the show and my husband and I looked at each other […]

Helix – S2 Ep 10 – Mother – Review

This episode is the most upsetting so far, so many horrendous things happen!  There is not one person who is not in the middle of, part of, or the leader of, some horror or another.  There are so many upsetting and disturbing events on this episode.  It makes me wonder about the brains of the […]

Helix – S2 Ep 9 – Ectogenesis – Review

This week’s happy/creepy music is courtesy of Ren Stewart (@RenStewart) Here is a version by Karen Carpenter ‘Close to You’. Ectogenesis  – noun, Biology.  Development outside the body, as of an embryo in an artificial environment. The immortaletus growing outside Sarah’s body certainly fits the definition.  We also have the mycotics living outside the Abbey.  […]

Preview – Helix S2 Ep9 Ectogenesis

On the next episode of Helix: Sarah attempts to meet Amy’s demands for immortality as Kyle takes desperate measures to get out of a terrifying predicament. It looks like they are finding some scary danger outside of the Abbey. In the preview there’s a dead rabbit hanging from a tree. I had a hard time looking at […]

Helix – S2 Ep8 – Vade in Pace Review

Welcome back! Once again we are left wondering #WhatTheHelix?! They’re keeping us on our toes! The show starts with a Pete Seeger song called Plow Under playing over a horrific scene of everyone who has died at the Abbey. This song was written in opposition to Americans fighting in Germany during WWII, referring to the […]

Helix – S 2 Ep 7 – Cross-Pollination Review

Hello everyone!  I am new here and will be writing reviews about Helix. There are two significant events in Ep. 6 that will affect the direction of future events. Let’s talk about those first. First, we see Olivia (Soren’s mom) who was manipulated by Amy to stab Sarah and whose punishment is to be kept in […]
