Mr. Spielberg has been a busy man this year coming out with Super 8, Cowboys and Aliens, Falling Skies and now Terra Nova. To say he has had a lot of hits this summer is an understatment. Falling Skies produced cables #1 rated show this summer and Terra Nova is hyped as the next big thing for Steven and SciFi. With the lack of good scifi shows out on TV this summer and this fall, Terra Nova has little competition to worry about.
The outline of the show looks solid, though many worry it might be too much like Jurassic Park. However is that really a bad thing? Those movies were made nearly 20 years ago and we havnt had any decent shows or movies that have matched up with the excitement or fear that the first movie gave us. This is worth a solid look at. Which is why it comes in at #2 on our Top 4 list of shows to watch this fall.

TERRA NOVA follows an ordinary family on an incredible journey back in time to prehistoric Earth as a small part of a daring experiment to save the human race. In the year 2149, the world is dying. The planet is overdeveloped and overcrowded, with the majority of plant and animal life extinct. The future of mankind is in doubt, and its only hope for survival is in the distant past.
When scientists at the FERMI Particle Accelerator unexpectedly discovered a fracture in time that made it possible to construct a portal into primeval history, the bold notion was born to resettle humanity in the past – a second chance to rebuild civilization and get it right this time.
