After his acceptance into the army, Yuichiro learns there is still a lot of training he must go through before he will get the revenge he seeks. Before that he has to learn how to handle the girls now. Since saving the school and his new friend, Yuichiro has become somewhat popular among the students. Shinoa took no shame in calling him Cherry-Boy, mocking him for being a virgin. All joking said she told him that humanity was nearly wiped out and it was their responsibility to rebuild humanity and that means hooking up and having babies. And trust me when I say she seriously put it like that, “Now Give Birth! Breed! Hurrah for illicit sexual relations”.
Shinoa teases Yuichiro by showing off her cursed gear. We learn that this gear is actually a demon the person has a contract with and the curse is strong enough to kill a 
vampire. Yuichiro challenges her to a fight with his sword and finds out quickly that he will lose against such a weapon. He is desperate to get his own but she warns that the demon can consume the user if they are weak of heart. Turns out that one of the group of boys who was bullying Yoichi has gone missing in a forbidden room underneath the school. They all fear Yoichi and Yuichiro now that both were accepted into the army. Turns out this forbidden room is actually a training ground for the Vampire Extermination Unit and untrained students who go in there will be consumed by the demon.
Yoichiro of course runs head first into the room and decides that the axe his friend is holding is going to belong to him and so he runs down to take it. Before he can get too far Shinoa stops him with her cursed gear and she explains that touching such a weapon with his bare hands is impossible, the demon would consume him. Revenge is a weakness and the demon will prey on that. Yuichiro is only emboldened by this and goes for it anyways. As soon as he grabs the weapon we flash back to him 4 years ago when he still had Mika and the kids. It’s clear that what we are seeing is a hallucination but it takes Yuichiro a bit, though shorter than expected, to realize that.
The demon took on the face of Mika and nearly convinced Yuichiro to allow it into his heart, which would have consumed him. Yuichiro managed to break the hallucination and wake up free from the demons trick. This was a shock to Shinoa who in her reaction, made it clear that she has never seen anyone break free of the demons hallucination on their own. She then makes the decision to tell him he will start training down there now.
The very final scene the high-nobel vampire we thought was dead is walking in the same open room that Yuichiro and Mika attempted to escape from and a hooded figure stood in the distance. For Manga readers and anyone who was paying attention to the opening song and video are not shocked by this reveal. But, it turns out to be Mika, who is still alive. The nobel explains that they have found his ‘angel’ Yuichiro.
