Fans have been waiting for the next round of My Hero Academia Funko Pops to be released. We finally got our first look at the second wave of figures based on the hit anime/manga. Series 2 brings in several characters that were missing in the first round and offers variants of others. Lets take a look at the official announcement from Funko.

School’s in session as young superheroes-in-training learn how to save the world in My Hero Academia. In honor of the Japanese adventure anime series and its protagonist, Izuku, Funko is pleased to announce a line of My Hero Academia Pop!

Meet the world’s greatest hero, All Might, in his heroic weakened state (new version for the series figure). All Might’s protégé, Izuku Midoriya, (also known as Deku), in his school uniform which is a new version this character. New characters getting the pop funko treatment include: Hero-in-training Shoto Todoroki, fellow student Tsuyu Asui and their teacher Shota Aizawa (also known as Eraser Head). You will also be able to get a variant version of Shota Aizawa exclusively at Hot Topic.

The second wave is due to be released in August. No word on whether any SDCC exclusives might pop up for the new series 2 release but it wouldn’t be out of the question. In previous years Funimation has had variants available at the convention as exclusives. Which ones are you picking up?
