Toilet-bound Hanako-kun Renewed for Second Season

Crunchyroll revealed earlier today that our favorite school yokai is returning for a second season. A special summer event held in Japan showed the news that the return of Toilet-bound Hanako-kun was coming. The second season is set to air in January 2025. But fear not, we won’t have to wait that long for more supernatural stories in the Hanako-kun world.

After-school Hanako-kun is set to premiere on October 7th, with a four-episode sequel. Teaser trailers for the second season and the 4-episode spin-off were also dropped. Yohei Fukui will be the director for the second season of the main series. Studio Lerche returns to produce the animation.

Toilet-bound Hanako-kun is based on the manga by Aidalro. You can stream the first season and the spin-off over at Crunchyroll.

Kamome Academy is rumored to have many mysteries, the strangest of which involves the mischievous ghost of Hanako-kun. When occult-loving high schooler Nene Yashiro accidentally becomes bonded to him, she uncovers a hidden world of supernatural beings.
