We knew it was coming but now its official. Just announced on the official site for the Food Wars anime, the fourth plate (4th season) has been set for October 2019. This is welcome news on the heels of the most recent announcement that the manga would end in 3 more chapters. It shouldn’t come as a shock but all good things must come to an end. Or in the case of Food Wars, a final dish must be served up.
In Weekly Shonen Jump’s 27th issue of 2019, it was officially announced that Shokugeki no Soma would end after 3 more chapters. The anime adaption of Shokugeki no Soma has had 3 seasons so far and stopped right in the middle of the Central Arc. Fans have been waiting for an announcement for months about another season. I am thrilled they will be continuing it, hopefully all the way to the end.
This announcement coincides with the announcement of the Manga moving from Weekly Shonen Jump to Jump GIGA for the final 3 chapter. They also released a trailer, of sorts, for the fourth season. Don’t get too excited though, there is no new footage in it from the fourth season, more of a recap of events so far.
