My Hero Academia Season 5 Announced Release Date

Class is in session this March for Class 1-A! The official twitter account for My Hero Academia dropped a new key visual for its upcoming 5th season. Along with that we received a premiere date for the new season, March 27th.  The ongoing TV anime adaptation based on Kohei Horikoshi’s super-popular manga about the next generation of super heroes training to obtain the skills that they need to save the world from disasters and villains has remained hugely popular with fans both of the manga and anime only viewers.

The new key visual was illustrated by series character designer Yoshihiko Umakoshi. We get a good look at the members of Class 1-A and Class 1-B of U.A. High School geared up in their hero costumes and ready for action. The first part of season 5 is expected to pit Class 1-A and 1-B in training exercises which will let us get to know our Class 1-B characters a bit more.

Now is the time to catch up on all 5 seasons over at Funimation, where you can also sign up for a free trail if you don’t already have a subscription and marathon your way to season 5.

We last left off with Deku in a dream where he was standing with the previous bearers of One for All. Not all of them were revealed. As they all watch a fight between All For One and his brother, he reaches our to Deku but he wakes up before we get any real answers. Hopefully, we will learn more in the new season.

About My Hero Academia

Izuku has dreamt of being a hero all his life—a lofty goal for anyone, but especially challenging for a kid with no superpowers. That’s right, in a world where eighty percent of the population has some kind of super-powered “quirk,” Izuku was unlucky enough to be born completely normal. But that’s not enough to stop him from enrolling in one of the world’s most prestigious hero academies.
