I’ve been working hard to get all caught up on the Marvel universe, really I have. I really enjoyed the first Avengers movie; anything with Robert Downey Jr. is alright by me; and Jeremy Renner couldn’t be cuter. And Chris Hemsworth! Yes, I’ve seen the Thor movies. So I’m not the actual target audience for this movie… but I’m still very excited by it! Here’s a new trailer that I found on the Fandango site:
Avengers: Age of Ultron will be out on May 1. I’ve still got Captain America: Winter Soldier and IronMan 3 to watch, but unless someone really twists my arm, I probably won’t be watching The Hulk – Bruce Banner never did much for me.
Marvel.com offers an interview with Renner: In “Marvel’s The Avengers,” audiences saw a mind-controlled Hawkeye before he fought alongside the other Avengers. “It’s really exciting for me and [director] Joss [Whedon] to dive into the character a little bit more,” Renner describes about exploring Hawkeye in the sequel. “There are some wonderful secrets and some relationships deepen.”
The first film only briefly explored Hawkeye’s mysterious relationship with Black Widow (Scarlett Johansson), but that will be explored more in the new film. Renner says, “They have a long, long history together and there’s more of that revealed.”
