Outlander: David Berry Greets His Fans on Twitter!

One of most-anticipated new cast members, David Berry as Lord John Grey, made his Twitter Q&A debut last night! While he doesn’t yet have his own Twitter account, his fan group, Berry’s Beefsteaks, hosted him so we could get to know him a little. He’s also currently starring in A Place to Call Home, an Australian TV series set just after World War II (available on Amazon).

Q What is your favorite part of the world?
A I really like Montreal.

Q Are you going to watch The Wallabies v All Blacks tonight?
A No, I’m busy having fun with #ANZOFs

Q With all the international flights you’re doing, what’s your tip for overcoming jet lag?
A When you get there, stay up as long as you can, get natural light, and go to the gym.

Q How long were you in Scotland filming?
A Long enough to love it.

Q Swords or pistols?
A Swords.

Q What do you do for down time?
A Change nappies.

Q Will you please join Twitter?
A Work in progress. Maybe, not sure.

Q Hello from France! Isn’t it too confusing filming 2 different time period dramas at the same time?
A No, but I do get easily confused about things.

Q What’s it like to juggle different continents, different shows and a new baby?
A Challenging but rewarding.

Q IF there is a Lord John Grey TV series, will you be keen to return as the main man?
A Absolutely.

Q What was it like working with Caitriona Balfe?
A Wonderful but brief, more to come hopefully!

Q Sam Heughan seems very competitive. Can he beat you at chess?
A Sam Heughan can’t play. Neither of us can. We were both supervised.

Q How did you do research for being a British soldier?
A A lifetime of watching period dramas.

Q I love A Place to Call Home and have fallen in love with all the characters! Any BTS tidbit you can share?
A Jenni Baird always eats the desserts from catering, and Craig Hall does all his closeups with no pants on.

Q Costumes! What was your favorite part of the costuming by Terry Dresbach? Anything you would like to take home?
A John Grey’s sword!
