Amazon Video has given it’s super-hero show the green-light for a Season 2! Not to be confused with the final 6 episodes of Season 1 – which will be available to stream on February 23rd. The Tick is a unique super-hero show, featuring a man in a tight, blue tick-suit and his faithful sidekick Arthur. The Tick first hit Amazon Video in August of 2017 – with a super successful promotion during San Diego Comic Con the month before – making it a highly anticipated new series. This is the first time Amazon Video has split one of their original series into two parts, with the back-half of Season 1 hitting soon. Peter Serafinowicz plays the title character and the series is produced by Ben Edlund.
Amazon has confirmed that Season 2 will consist of 10 new episodes and premiere exclusively on Amazon Video in 2019. Ben Edlund (creator and executive producer), Peter Serafinowicz (The Tick), and his co-star Griffin Newman (Arthur Everest) will all be returning for the next season.
“I am so excited that Amazon wants to continue this wildly fruitful collaboration and that this amazing cast gets to stay together, and that we get to build this mythos further, wider, deeper, and taller. We got a good ball of mud spinning with the right tilt of axis, I’m very happy we have this opportunity to keep peopling it.” – Ben Edlund
