The Passage: Coverage from SDCC with Henry Ian Cusick

Last month, our reporter Michelle Harvey had a chance to talk with stars and creators of the upcoming FOX Network show The Passage. The show still hasn’t been scheduled for an air date yet, and only one episode has been shot, but it sure looks terrific! Look for our other post with a conversation with show stars Mark-Paul Gosselaar and Saniyya Sidney!

The first video features Jamie McShane, who plays one of The Twelve – people imprisoned for murder, who are used as test subjects for a mysterious drug that researchers with the government’s Project Noah believe will make people immune from disease. But nothing ever goes the way you think it will, and the drug actually has much more frightening effects. Henry Ian Cusick plays Dr. Jonas Lear, one of the project’s researchers.

This second video features the director of the one episode that has been filmed, Jason Ensler, and the creator and showrunner, Liz Heldens. They talk about adapting the story for TV, and how they’re able to dive deeper into some of the characters, particularly The Twelve, than the first book did.
