Outlander Gab on the Air: Fan Fundraising Follow-Up

By: Erin Conrad November 14, 2018
Interviews fundraising, Starz Outlander, Steven Cree

Due to some technical issues prior to our broadcast tonight, I wasn’t able to put up a slideshow featuring the fan fundraising campaigns we discussed. I truly appreciate my guests coming to discuss their fundraising efforts with us – Melissa Pflueger of the Southern Sassenachs; Christine Gordon from Sassenach Society of South Jersey; and Koko Pipkin from Pacific Northwest Sassenachs.

Since it’s hard to give you these longer URLs over the radio, I wanted to make sure you had all the info!

Southern Sassenachs:

This group has worked with artist Laura Ewing Ferrer to create a new t-shirt every year. Shirts (and device cases with the same designs, among other products) are available on Redbubble.com.

The group also conducts a yearly auction of more than 200 items (this year’s campaign is currently closed).

Southern Sassenachs is also involved in a raffle honoring a friend of mine, George Nadeau, who had been product manager for Cryptozoic and the official Outlander Trading Cards. George died suddenly in September. He was a terrific friend to many in the Outlander world. Outlandish Trading Post worked with the company and with Southern Sassenachs to create an auction of trading card products. You can see and contribute to this auction here.

Sassenach Society of South Jersey:

This year’s fundraising campaign, benefiting Cahonas Scotland, is giving away a limited edition Outlander Store Funko Pop Jamie, including a box signed by Sam Heughan. The campaign ends Dec. 31. You can see that here.

Koko Pipkin/Steven Cree:

Steven Cree is holding an ebay auction to win a copy of the script to his wonderfully thoughtful short film, A Little Princess, in a lovely fan-donated box. The auction winner will also receive a 30-minute Skype session with Steven. This auction closes less than 36 hours from now. View the ebay listing here.

Thank you for listening to The Outlander Gab on the Air! If you didn’t have a chance to listen, you can catch the replay at our Live Radio page. Catch us every Tuesday night, 9 pm eastern/8 central.

Celebrating four years with Three If By Space. Well, um, “celebrating…” My boss has a very large display cabinet full of Star Wars and Star Trek collectibles. My kids are ok with me being a nerd. Like they have a choice. Covering Outlander and a variety of other current shows, movies and books.
