Phase 5

Marvel’s Phase 5 and 6 SDCC Announcements!

It wouldn’t be a San Diego Comic-Con without some fantastic Marvel news, and this year’s triumphant return was no different! Marvel not only announced the timeline for Phase 5 but Phase 6 as well! Here we’ve compiled all of the announcements into one handy little article.

Phase 5 In All Its Glory

We know that February 17, 2023 will kick off the new phase beginning with Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania. So far in Phase 5, we have set dates for Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania, Guardians and the Galaxy Volume 3, The Marvels, Blade, Captain America: New World Order, and Tunderbolts. Phase 5

Are We Excited Yet?

Because if that isn’t enough to fill your Marvel dreams then wait until you see what Phase 6 has in store for you! A brand new Fantastic Four movie will kick off Phase 6 which is the final phase of this saga of Marvel movies. Apparently, Marvel has dubbed this saga the “Multiverse Saga” which is set to end with two new Avengers movies: Avengers: The Kang Dynasty and Avengers: Secret Wars. Though we don’t have a timeline for anything else in Phase 6, we do know that Fantastic Four will launch November 8, 2024 and Secret Wars will end the Phase on November 7, 2025. We also have a new season of What If…? and Spider-Man: Freshman Year coming to Disney+ as well as an X-Men ’97 original series, which immediately conjures up that killer theme song.

Takeaways

There is so much to take in on this list. From all-new heroes to old favorites there are so many stories that we are going to explore in this new phase. I personally am very excited for Loki and Echo, but I’m the most excited about Daredevil and Charlie Cox returning to the role. It is going to be interesting what Phase 5 has in store and to see how they are going to keep up the momentum with this new phase. As superhero fatigue is a real thing, it doesn’t seem like Marvel is worried about that too much!
