The Promised Neverland Vol 2 – Review

The Promised Neverland – Life at Grace Field House has been good for Emma and her fellow orphans. While the daily studying and exams they have to take are tough, their loving caretaker provides them with delicious foods and plenty of playtime. But perhaps not everything is as it seems…

Behind the facade of a happy orphanage, the children of Grace Field House are secretly being raised as food for demons! Determined to save themselves and the other kids, Emma, Norman and Ray begin planning an escape. But their caretaker, “Mom,” has brought in extra help to keep the orphans in line…

The Review

Emma, Norman and Ray find the new mother to be a bit too suspicious of them. The idea they came up with to make their escape was a game of tag. But it was not just any game of tag. It is training for the kids, so they can all escape. However, Sister Krone wants to join in the pursuit. Turns out she lost the game, but she seems aware of the fact that they saw the harvest.

There can be only one way they know so much, there is a traitor among the kids. Someone who is either intentionally or accidentally feeding mother information. Norman planned a trap that would reveal who the actual traitor was. It turns out to be someone much closer to them then they expected. I didn’t see that one coming but I probably should have.

Although the story revolves around a rather young group of kids, they are very smart. The level of control that mother has over the farm is beyond anything they first understood. The real question is, will they escape and can the traitor be used to help this happen?
