Seth finds himself face-to-face with a man named Piodon, who claims to be his brother. Piodon came to Rumble Town to watch the destruction, but upon finding Seth, offers him something to help with his infection. Meanwhile, Grimm and Mรฉlie continue trying to prevent Hameline from destroying the city.
Review
How or when that was put on Seth remains a mystery. Including just how the brothers became separated or how both of them ended up with the same curse. So far we really haven’t seen cases of siblings with the same curse. So that leaves me to wonder if these bothers are more than just Wizards cursed by Nemeses. Seth leaves Piodon behind and re-enters the battle on the clock tower. However he finds he is too late to save Hameline despite finally getting through to her.
The inquisition accuses Seth of a multitude of charges that he doesn’t even remember, and demands the Wizards and people of the town turn him over.ย Hameline uses a ruse of holding the boy hostage to distract the inquisition only to protect Seth and the others, getting herself killed. Torque appears, as the leader of the inquisition squad, and kills Hameline. This sets Seth off, and before he can attack him, another inquisition member hits him hard in the face and takes him to the ground. In doing so he breaks part of the bandage on Seths face.
This is where Radiant has really hit its stride. Seth is a bone head at the best of times but he is also smart and caring person. Radiant does a great job of really bringing the feels in this most recent volume. The anime adaptation also does a great job of reflecting this as well. The story plot with his ‘brother’ and his power is also very intriguing. I cannot wait for the next volume. You can pickup Vol 4 of Radiant, which was released just last week, from Amazon.com
