Outlander Holiday Gift Guide: No Bees, but Plenty of Buzz

By: Erin Conrad October 13, 2020
Geek Buys Etsy, Gift Guide, Random House, Sony, Starz Outlander, Tara Bennett, Theresa Carle-Sanders

The holidays approach. For many Outlander fans, it’s time to look for fun gifts for friends, suggestions for your own gifts from a significant other, or ideas for a group gift exchange. Take a look through our suggestions – some new, some handmade, some official – but you may want them all.

Official Outlander-Related Books

Yes, all we’ve heard from Diana is #NOitsnotfinishedyet and #Illtellyouwhenitsdone, but luckily, we have a wealth of other great books in the Outlanderverse this year. During the first part of the year, Tara Bennett came out with the second volume of The Making of Outlander: Seasons 3 and 4. Theresa Carle-Sanders debuted Outlander Kitchen 2: To the New World and Back Again. Later this month, we’ll see a specialty book, Outlander Knitting (stay tuned for an in-depth review and giveaway before the Oct. 27 publication date). And finally, in November, we’ll get Clanlands, Sam Heughan and Graham McTavish’s love letter to Scotland, written as they trekked through their country. (Clanlands will be followed up by a companion TV show on Starz, Men in Kilts – can’t wait for that one!). Did you miss ordering, or pre-ordering, any of these fine additions to your Outlander library? Time to catch up!

Some Stocking (Literally) Stuffers

Here’s one I like – “Do Not Disturb” socks! These are cotton crew socks, perfect for cuddling up with any of the above-named books (or re-reading any of the main or Lord John Grey novels). Available on Amazon.

Don’t lose your keys – this stainless steel Skye Boat Song and dragonfly keychain will keep them for you! Also available on Amazon.

Cuddle up! Lots of blankets are available. Here are two from the Official Outlander Store, Fraser’s Ridge and Dinna Fash Sassenach. Do you prefer Jamie’s face to help you have sweet dreams? Here’s a Jamie blanket from Amazon.

Would you rather wake up and enjoy your Outlander? How about this beautiful mug from Amazon? Or a pretty pair of pint glasses, from the Outlander Store.

Too pretty to use, these lovely dragonfly measuring spoons would look lovely framed. From Amazon.

Are you a t-shirt collector? Celtic Croft has a couple of nice ones, both Outlander and Scotland-related. And the Outlander store doesn’t have the selection it once had, sadly, but who knows what will be added. These two, though, the Droughtlander Wine Club, and the Frasers Ridge long-sleeve tee, could be wardrobe worthy.

And one more item to add to those stockings – official Outlander playing cards, from Cryptozoic, publisher of the official trading cards! You can buy these from us, in our shop (and find all kinds of other things – Funkos and more, but sadly, no more Outlander).

Outlanderpreneurs

What’s an Outlanderpreneur? The fandom is incredibly talented, with many impressive artisans creating beautiful, often one-of-a-kind items. Here are a couple:

MarLaBeads Shop

Laurie McGill makes Outlander-inspired jewelry on Etsy. I particularly love her Standing Stones necklace!

All tumblers can be personalized with your favorite colors, a name, or short quote. Find Christine on Etsy.
