Marvel continues its attempt to bridge the film and tv worlds of its franchises and FOX has joined in on the latest attempt with The Gifted. The series will explore the x-men universe. The staff lined up to run the series have been involved with a lot of the x-men films and other Marvel projects over at Netflix. While that seems promising, the confusion over which timeline this happens in has left many unsure.

The series tells the story of a suburban couple whose ordinary lives are rocked by the sudden discovery that their children possess mutant powers. Forced to go on the run from a hostile government, the family joins up with an underground network of mutants and must fight to survive.
